Bicycle and Pedestrian Program

Florida Bicycle Traffic Laws

Under Florida law, a bicycle is considered a vehicle, and is entitled to share the road with cars, trucks and other vehicles.  Therefore, those wishing to operate a bicycle should become familiar with state traffic laws that apply to bicycles.  Click here to view the State's bicycle laws.

Bicycle and Pedestrian Plans

These plans focus on the development of a network of trails, sidewalks, and bicycle lanes. The plans outline how proposed road projects could incorporate bicycle and pedestrian facilities to make Central Florida more bicyclist and pedestrian-friendly.  Click on the right to view the Existing, Funding and Prioritized Bicycle & Pedestrian Projects.

Bicycle Maps

If you need to report a small physical problem on a path or roadway that could pose a safety hazard for bicyclists, click here to download the Spot Improvement Form.
