Technical Report 2: Model Validation & Application Guidelines
To complete the extensive technical analysis needed to create a long range plan, planners rely on computer modeling to forecast future trips and predict where transportation improvements are needed. MetroPlan Orlando developed an enhanced computer model for the 2030 Plan. This report discusses the model in depth and includes information on socio-economics, external trips, trip generation, trip distribution, mode choice, highway assignment, and transit assignment.
