Transportation Planner

MetroPlan Orlando is seeking a Transportation Planner to work within the Department of Transportation Planning.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead in all transit and public health related planning issues to include coordination with Lynx and FDOT on transit funding, grant administration, and setting project priorities.
  • Lead corridor studies and other special studies.
  • Assist in the analysis and evaluation of specific Transit and Bicycle & Pedestrian proposals, including station area and access studies, bicycle facilities and networks and proposals for new or improved transit services
  • Promote improved land use planning methods that are better integrated with transportation planning activities
  • Research, interpret, analyze and conceptualize information and data

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree in urban planning, public administration or transportation planning and one (1) year of experience OR Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience in transportation planning (may substitute an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience)
  • Valid driver's license
  • AICP encouraged
